Around 2013 I had the idea of producing some “Public Service Announcement” entries in Lum and Abner thinking they would be widely circulated and I’d receive accolades and awards. Okay, I’m still waiting.
Seriously, as one who has seen tobacco, alcohol, and drugs harm and kill family members and friends, anything we as cartoonists can do to get the word out as to the dangers of those items is worth doing.
