EXPLANATION: This series gets us back to Lum and Abner’s classic radio show by adapting a few of my favorite episodes! My friend David Miller coined the term “Abner’s Doubletalk Routines” for the many times Abner reacted to Lum’s “Old Eddards Sayin’s,” and “Owls to Athens” is likely my favorite (although others are equally funny)! Each week, you’ll hear a segment from the original 1942 broadcasts as we adapt them to comic strip form.
