New Popeye art book in progress!

“What does Popeye have to do with Lum and Abner?”

Well, your Lum and Abner comic strip cartoonist’s work is in this new book!

In 2006, I was asked to restore and add color to unpublished cover art by the award winning 1960s-80s Popeye comic book artist George Wildman as a memorial tribute.

Also, another cover was commissioned from me, one I designed, penciled, inked, and colored. Both covers were part of the alternate or variant covers offered with the Popeye Classics series of comics reprinting the classic work of Bud Sagendorf.

These and many others are being collected in this new book.
