Congratulations are in order for Ludy Marvin Wilkie! Mr. Wilkie recently won an award for his two-act play, Lum and Abner! “Shucks folks, I’m speechless,” he commented when sharing the information. The play is authorized by the estate of Chester H. Lauck Jr. (“Lum and Abner” is a registered trademark.)
Lum and Abner has been performed by the talented Ouachita Little Theatre group in Mena, Arkansas, the home town of L&A creators Chester “Chet” Lauck and Norris “Tuffy” Goff.
Mr. Wilkie has high hopes for future productions of his play. Likewise, he has other plays to offer including an adaptation of The Scarlet Letter. He invites those interested to contact him at 704-487-4269 or e-mail ludy@shelby.net
