Carthage, Texas Main Street Arts Walk of Fame Induction

On Friday, February 16, 2024, I was blessed to have been inducted into the Arts Walk of Fame here in Carthage, Texas. A former student from my CHS-TV program (Carthage High School 2002 graduate), Daron M. McDaniel, faculty member and department chair at Panola College, was instrumental in the nomination. He honored me with his introduction. Main Street Director Cindy Deloney edited a great video which was narrated by the retired broadcaster and communications professor, Dr. Joe Oliver, a veteran of WREC Radio in Memphis and Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. National Lum and Abner Society Vice-President Sam Brown and former CHS-TV student and current SFASU faculty member Derek Wayne Johnson make appearances.
