Nick was the Popeye Fan Club Guest of Honor based on his many excellent scripts for Charlton Comics’ Popeye and later Western/Whitman Comics’ Popeye the Sailor comic books illustrated by George Wildman.
Among Nick’s many honors are the Ray Bradbury Award and the Inkpot.
